Attending John Higgins’s camp provided the opportunity for direct access to John and his trusted evaluators. They provided great insight in classroom sessions especially on video breakdown and evaluating clips. The staff went in depth on positioning, communication and thought process. We received valuable feedback  during and after on court games which allowed for the opportunity for immediate implementation, development, and improvement. These experiences allowed me to continue developing my officiating skills and build a relationship with John and his staff. All together this led to many opportunities during the season and I can say without hesitation and full confidence that John isn’t afraid to give anyone an opportunity!

The COCMBB summer training is an outstanding opportunity for officials to work on their craft and learn from the best in the business. You will get valuable on court training and video breakdown in the classroom sessions. The program will cover numerous topics from basketball rules, to on court mechanics, core fundamentals and effective communication skills. Each clinician will take the time to give honest feedback and evaluations that will help you become a better official. John saw me referee for the first time at his clinic in the summer of 2023. I was hired directly from camp and worked a full schedule in my first year with him. Every person attending camp will have the same opportunity to be seen and take their officiating career to the next level.
